Getting Started

Getting started using the API requires obtaining authentication (API-key and manufacturer identifier). Se below.

Get authentication

Company administrators (the same person who can create new users) must enable API access for your company.
Please reach out to your contact person on your company to do that.

Otherwise contact VVS / SEG respectively with the contact information avaliable here:

• SEG / E-nummerbanken

Authentication must be provided for all requests.

• The authentication consists of an API-key, a unique manufacturer identifier and an industry (VVS/SEG).
• The API-key and manufacturer identifier will be provided by your company admin.

Company admins:

• must first choose which person the API impersonates.
• have the right to add, change and delete API-keys for the company.

As a company admin, you can start manage the API-keys here:

• VVS - Go to Företag > Företagsuppgifter (log in here, then browse to this page)
• SEG - Go to Företag > Företagsuppgifter (log in here, then browse to this page)

Open the tab "Övrig information":

• First, select an API user at the company (it is suggested that you create a new, dedicated user for API purposes).
• Add a key and select a valid timespan. Multiple valid keys are allowed.
